*School is off and running. And both kids at home seem to be doing well at this time.
*We had special visitors at the beginning of September. Allison and Kevin drove out their family to sell us their Honda for Kymberli. She is one happy young driver (her parents are too, but boy are they expensive to insure!).
*And while the McNeely clan was here, we had a fabulous visit. It was really nice to see the kiddos again. And I think it helped that they had just been here in May. It didn't feel like the "get to know you" time was as long. Some of us sisters took the little ones to the beach. That was great! Watching them enjoy digging in the sand was precious.
*Jakob celebrated his 19th birthday. Allison and her kids were still here so Macey and Xander made him cupcakes. And they were also able to join us for birthday dinner and then eat the fruits of their labor :) They sang beautifully (and after a recent conversation with Nana, Xander remembers doing so).
*Eric and I celebrated our 22nd anniversary. Once again we went to Pismo to relax and enjoy ourselves. We ate at a new restaurant (to us) and boy was it ever great! Definitely worth a trip back. We had full stomaches for days!!
*And probably the biggest news of our lives was that Geoffrey was the grand prize winner of $50,000 to help with tuition costs (if he chooses). Holy moly! Who wins these kind of things?! Well, I guess now I know! Good kids who work really hard and make things happen! The Lord showers us with blessings every day. This day it just happened to be with money :)
