Christmas in Review

The Becker family was once again blessed this Christmas time. We spent time with family and ate a lot!!

We celebrated Christmas Eve at home with a movie night. We had finger food and watched The Santa Clause and Elf. We had a great time just hanging out and laughing.

Christmas Day we kept to our usual morning routine-opening gifts together and having breakfast together. Santa was really good to the kids this year. They all got almost everything on their lists :)

Playing with their new toy-Xbox Kinect

Then after breakfast, we traveled to Fresno to spend the rest of the day with the Beckers. We had a nice pork roast dinner and did a small gift exchange after dinner. We like to call it our international Christmas because we follow an old German tradition of looking for a hidden pickle ornament on the tree (finder gets a prize), we have English poppers filled with trinkets on the table (hence the paper crowns) and we had zwiebach! Quite festive, don't you think?

And finally, on the 26th we celebrated Cousin Christmas. Since the weather had been rainy for several days, miniature golf was changed to bowling. The kids had a great time competing in 2 teams. Although the scores were really close, there are no losers at Grandma's house so everyone was a winner!! Thank goodness for grandparents :)

Wishing all of our friends and family a Happy New Year. May 2011 be even better than 2010!

Just showed everyone at our NYE party the video of the kids! HAHAHAHAHA! We want to know what they were playing? We can't figure it out.

They were playing the Kinect Adventures game that came with the new controller (that uses your body movements to control it). They were "in" cars on rails and they had to jump to make them go and they had to jump over and duck under obstacles as well as collect coins. It was the funniest thing I'd seen in awhile :)
