We made it through Jakob's graduation party last Monday. We had a nice turn out of family and friends. They didn't even seem to mind that our house is kinda cramped with 40 people in it-maybe catering Ben and Jerry's had something to do with that :) He was given lots of nice gifts-especially "green", a universal teenage favorite! The best gift however was his great graduation trip with Grandpa Max. Jakob and Grandpa will be spending 8 days in Maui. I'm sure there will be golfing, some SCUBA and maybe even surfing. What a lucky kid!!

Then Thursday was the "big event"-graduation. It was very warm in the football stands but it was worth it to see how sharp he looked in his cap and gown. And our family cheered as him name was read and he crossed the stage :)

Congratulations, Jakob on all your hard work! We look forward to hearing about all of the great and wonderful things you will accomplish in this exciting new chapter of your life!
PS-Remember the wooden fire truck submitted to the State Fair mentioned in the last post-it took 3rd place in its division! Yea, Jakob!!
