April birthdays!

In our family, April is a busy birthday month.
And they are all in the span of 1 week-
Tricia 4/20, Eric 4/23, Geoffrey 4/26. We have been busy!

Our celebrations started with a surprise party for Tricia on 4/14. And, boy, was she surprised! Even after the group yelled "surprise" she still couldn't figure out what was going on. :) There was a nice turn out and she really had a nice evening. She appreciated the planning and the idea that so many people cared about her. We do love you, Tricia!

Eric's birthday was much simpler (by his request). He and I went to dinner with friends from church (parents of the little girls we love so dearly). I made his favorite cupcakes (chocolate chip cream cheese) and we shared them after having a really yummy dinner at Champ's BBQ. The party wrapped up with party favors for the guests (in my mind, it is not a proper party without favors).

Geoffrey's birthday finished our week of celebrations. It had been awhile since he had a party with friends, so this was the year he chose to celebrate well. Apparently, as you get older, your choice of activities becomes a little more sophisticated. He invited his "group" (there are 8 including him) to attend the play "The Producers" and join him for ice cream. They had a great time and he received some nice gifts from his friends. He also had a family party on 4/29. This consisted of grandparents, aunties and cousins. A lot less formal-mostly kids just want to open presents and eat cake! Fine by me after all the birthdaying we've done lately!

The month has ended well and I think we can finally take a break from birthdays for awhile...no wait...Megan!!
