Family Vacation

Jakob had barely returned from his great trip when we whisked him away with the family for our family vacation two days later. It took some doing too, to have all of us in the same place at the same time. Geoffrey has been travelling back and forth to Fresno, Kymberli went to Costa Rica and the beach with Grandma Charlotte and Jakob was in Maui and when he was home, he was working for Grandpa Max...whew!

So the last week of July, we went as a family to Pismo for the week. Boy was it nice to get out of the Bakersfield heat! It didn't get much above 70 while we were there. Just what we needed, cool refreshing beach air!! And that wasn't even the best part about our vacation...look what we did...

WE WENT TO AN AEROSMITH CONCERT!! The whole family!! And it was great! They were performing at the Mid State Fair during the week we had planned to be in Pismo so we took advantage of it. And since 3 young adults all agreed on the same thing, it was pretty much a no-brainer. We had a great time too! And even though the kids had to go to the concert with their parents, they would still say they had a good time. Those old guys can still rock!!

We also enjoyed some nice down time and some great food. We spent time on the beach and we even made it to Hearst Castle. We took an outdoor tour this time and it was really nice. We got to see some things we hadn't before and the weather was great.

This was a necessary, well-deserved break from life...and it was worth it! It was nice having all of my family in one place at one time. I know the days for that are getter shorter. So I will take those days as long as they continue to come :)
