February is a busy month...

February has proven to be a busy month for us!

We hosted a Super Bowl party at the beginning of the month to showcase our new TV and our new floors. We had a housefull and it was great. We had 20 people and plenty of food. The game looked great on our new TV and we even gave out our own Super Bowl Rings (ring pops) for the ones who drew the name of the winning team...yea Giants!! Sorry no pics available.

As we approached the middle of the month, it became birthday time. Grandma Charlotte's was first (2/15). We had a small celebration for her complete with a heart-shaped cake and ice cream. Since her birthday is near Valentine's Day, she has always had a heart theme. We carried that idea into her gift this year and gave her a lovely heart charm bracelet to represent the family that loves her. Of course, she loved it!!

Kymberli's birthday is next (2/18). She also had a theme this year chosen by her. It was Happy Bunny. If you are not familiar with him, he is a cute little bunny with a sassy attitude. Actually, he's quite narcissistic. He says things like "let's focus on me," "you'd be cooler if you were me," and my favorite "I'm not spoiled. I deserve all my stuff." So, he's quite perfect for a fourteen year old girl :) She had a Happy Bunny cake and party goods and even a new shirt to wear that matched the theme (did you remember that we like themes at our house?). She received a lot of nice gifts from a Juicy Couture charm for her bracelet, clothing, perfume and lots of cash. But I think her favorite thing for the day was getting permission to buy her own hamster. She was thrilled and went to the pet store with her friend Nicole and picked one out. Let me introduce to you, Tilly.

Just recently, there was an awards assembly for the boys. They each were recognized for having GPAs above 3.2 for at least 3 semesters in a row. Geoffrey received his Achievement Award which represents seven semesters in a row. And for him those seven semesters were 4.0+. Jakob received his academic letter representing 3 semesters. If he continues to do well, he will receive a pin after each semester to add to his letter. We are really proud of their accomplishments!

And our month will wrap up with some sporting events. Geoffrey will be travelling to Clovis for a tennis tournment at the end of the month. Jakob will be participating in his first golf tournament with the Foothill golf team on the 27th. And Kymberli will be part of a soccer scrimmage day with several other teams as her team prepares for an upcoming soccer tournament.

Whew! I think we need to take a breather before March comes, but I'm not sure that will happen. As spring approaches, we only get busier!!

Happy b-day Kymberli, congrats to Geoffrey on your accomplishment and Jakob...well, I'm not going to be very happy with you when you can outshoot me by twenty shots on the golf course.
