Happy Birthday, Jakob!!

We just celebrated Jakob's 15th birthday on 9/6. It seems like just yesterday that I was placed on bed rest due to complications, and now this child, who made his presence known before he even entered the world, has turned 15 and is still making sure he is leaving his mark (just like the one left on my tummy:) ).

We did not have a big celebration this year. We will save that for next year. Unfortunately, Jakob still had to go to school, but he was able to choose the after-school snack (Chocolate Molten Cake) and he was taken out to dinner by Grandma Charlotte and Grandpa Max (Outback). After dinner, the rest of the family (Grandpa Mike, Grandma Laurie and Aunt Tricia) joined us for birthday cake (Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake) and ice cream. It was a school night so the party did not last very long. But he was able to feel like the world revolved around him for a small moment and be showered with presents! Which is really all any child wants anyway! :)
